A double vane pump carries two cartridges on one shaft inside one housing: a front section that feeds one circuit and a rear section that feeds another. The model code reflects that arrangement — the family T6CC to T6EE uses eleven positions, two of which are stator codes rather than one.
The sections below take the eleven positions in order, describe the rule that determines which cartridge goes where, and set out the ratings and the flange variants. The nine strings currently held in stock are decoded at the end.
Two cartridges on one shaft
The family contains six model numbers. Each pairs two cartridge sizes, and the pair decides the mounting flange and the weight.
| Model | Front section, P1 | Rear section, P2 | Mounting flange | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T6CC | C group | C group | SAE B, 2 bolts, J744 | 26.0 kg |
| T6DC | D group | C group | SAE C, 2 bolts, J744 | 38.6 kg |
| T6DD | D group | D group | — | — |
| T6DDS | D group | D group | SAE C, 6 bolts, J744c | 56 kg |
| T6EC | E group | C group | SAE C, 2 bolts, J744 | 55.0 kg |
| T6ED | E group | D group | SAE C, 2 bolts, J744 | 66.0 kg |
| T6EE | E group | E group | ISO 3019-2 250-B4HW | 95 kg |
| T6EES | E group | E group | SAE E, 4 bolts, J744c | 95 kg |
The S suffix marks the SAE flange version of the same combination: T6EE is the ISO 3019-2 250-B4HW face, T6EES the SAE E 4-bolt face. These are not interchangeable mounting patterns, so the suffix has to be part of the enquiry.
The eleven positions at a glance
The sample model numbers read T6CC W - B22 - B08 - 1 R 00 - C 1 00 - .. and T6DC W - B38 - B22 - 1 R 00 - B 1 M0 - ... Position by position:
| Position | Meaning | Value in the example |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Series | T6CC |
| 2 | Heavy-duty shaft, optional | W |
| 3 | Displacement, front section P1 | B22 |
| 4 | Displacement, rear section P2 | B08 |
| 5 | Shaft | 1 |
| 6 | Rotation, viewed on the shaft end | R |
| 7 | Porting combination | 00 |
| 8 | Design letter | C |
| 9 | Seal class | 1 |
| 10 | Port form | 00 |
| 11 | Modification code | blank |
Two of the eleven are different in kind from a single pump: position 2 exists only on this family, and positions 3 and 4 are the same field applied twice.
Position 1: the model, and the flange that comes with it
Position 1 determines the cartridge pair and, with it, the mounting flange. The two C-size combinations use the smaller flange; everything that contains a D or E section uses the C-size face, except the two E+E models, which move up to the 250 face.
| Position 1 | Sections | Mounting flange |
|---|---|---|
| T6CC | C + C | SAE B, 2 bolts |
| T6DC | D + C | SAE C, 2 bolts |
| T6DD | D + D | — |
| T6DDS | D + D | SAE C, 6 bolts |
| T6EC | E + C | SAE C, 2 bolts |
| T6ED | E + D | SAE C, 2 bolts |
| T6EE | E + E | ISO 3019-2 250-B4HW |
| T6EES | E + E | SAE E, 4 bolts |
The order of the two groups is not reversible: T6DC is a D section in front and a C section behind, and there is no T6CD. The section that carries the larger displacement is always listed first, which is the subject of a separate section below.
Position 2: W, the heavy-duty shaft option
This position is normally empty. When the letter W appears, the pump is built with the heavy-duty shaft version, and the shaft codes available at position 5 change with it.
| Model | Heavy-duty version | Heavy-duty shaft code |
|---|---|---|
| T6CC | T6CCW | 2, keyed SAE BB |
| T6DC | T6DCW | 5, keyed non-SAE |
| T6EC, T6ED | Not offered | — |
There is no heavy-duty shaft for the E-section combinations, so a machine that needs the higher shaft rating has to be served by one of the smaller pairs.
Positions 3 and 4: the two stator codes
Each section is specified separately, and each code is read against the cartridge group of that section: C, D or E. The C group has thirteen codes, the D group eleven and the E group ten.
| Group | Codes | Displacement |
|---|---|---|
| C | B03, B05, B06, B08, B10, B12, B14, B17, B20, B22, B25, B28, B31 | 10.8, 17.2, 21.3, 26.4, 34.1, 37.1, 46.0, 58.3, 63.8, 70.3, 79.3, 88.8, 100.0 ml/rev |
| D | B14, B17, B20, B24, B28, B31, B35, B38, B42, B45, B50 | 47.6, 58.2, 66.0, 79.5, 89.7, 98.3, 111.0, 120.3, 136.0, 145.7, 158.0 ml/rev |
| E | 042, 045, 050, 052, 054, 057, 062, 066, 072, 085 | 132.3, 142.4, 158.5, 164.8, 171.0, 183.3, 196.7, 213.3, 227.1, 268.7 ml/rev |
Two consequences follow. The same code does not mean the same displacement in different groups — B14 is 46.0 ml/rev on a C section and 47.6 ml/rev on a D section — and the E group is written with three digits alone, while C and D codes may appear with or without the B prefix depending on the page. Our own stock contains both writings side by side: one T6ED string reads 042 B24, an E code and a D code in the two available styles.
The larger displacement goes at the shaft end
The rule is: the larger displacement is always fitted at the shaft end. That is the reason T6DC exists and T6CD does not, and the reason position 3 is never smaller than position 4.
It also has a practical consequence at the point of ordering. A customer who specifies the same pair of cartridges in the wrong order is not ordering a differently configured pump but a pump that does not exist, so the enquiry must state the larger section first, in the P1 position.
Position 5: the shaft
The available shaft codes depend on the model, and on whether position 2 carries a W.
| Model | Shaft codes |
|---|---|
| T6CC | 1 keyed non-SAE; 3 splined SAE BB, 15 teeth; 5 splined SAE B, 13 teeth; 2 keyed SAE BB in the heavy-duty version |
| T6DC | 1 keyed SAE C; 2 keyed non-SAE; 3 splined SAE C, 14 teeth; 4 splined non-SAE; 5 keyed non-SAE in the heavy-duty version |
| T6EC, T6ED | 1 keyed SAE CC; 2 keyed non-SAE; 3 splined SAE C, 14 teeth; 4 splined SAE CC, 17 teeth |
| T6DDS | 1, 2, 3 and 4 as printed on the D+D page |
| T6EE | 2, keyed G45N — the only code printed for this model |
| T6EES | 1 keyed SAE CC; 3 splined SAE CC; 4 and 5 for the SAE D and E shafts |
The same digit does not mean the same shaft across the family: code 1 is a non-SAE keyed shaft on a T6CC, a keyed SAE C shaft on a T6DC and a keyed SAE CC shaft on a T6EC or T6ED. The model has to be read together with the code.
Position 6: rotation
R is clockwise and L is counter-clockwise, both read looking at the shaft end. The letter is fixed at assembly and applies to the whole pump, not to one section.
Position 7: the porting combination
The code states how the ports of the two sections are arranged relative to each other and to the mounting flange. 00 is the standard arrangement, and the remaining combinations place the ports differently, and a double has more ports to place than a single pump: each section brings its own suction and pressure port.
| Code | Arrangement |
|---|---|
| 00 | Standard porting combination |
| Other codes | Alternative arrangements, with the ports placed differently |
Positions 8 to 10: design letter, seal class and port form
| Position | Meaning | Values |
|---|---|---|
| 8 | Design letter | C on T6CC; B on T6DC, T6EC and T6ED |
| 9 | Seal class | 1 = Buna-N, 0.7 bar maximum; 5 = Viton, 7 bar maximum |
| 10 | Port form | 4-bolt SAE flange J518; the available codes differ by model |
The design letter is not a free choice: each model prints its own. The seal class carries a pressure figure rather than a material only — class 1 is limited to 0.7 bar and class 5 to 7 bar — which matters where the drain or the suction line runs pressurised.
Port forms and the displacement limits behind them
The port form codes differ by model, and two of them carry a displacement limit that is easy to overlook.
| Model | Port form codes | Suction port |
|---|---|---|
| T6CC | 00, 01, 0M, W0 and 10, 11, 1M, W1 | S = 3 in for the first group, S = 2.1/2 in for the second |
| T6DC, T6EC | M0, M1, 01, or omitted | Per model |
| T6ED | M0, or omitted | Per model |
| T6DDS | 00 and M0 | P1 and P2 = 1.1/4 in, S = 4 in |
| T6EE, T6EES | 00 and M0 | P1 and P2 = 1.1/2 in, S = 4 in |
The displacement limits sit as footnotes on the T6CC page: the codes 00, 01, 0M and W0 apply up to a maximum displacement of 46 cm³/r, and the codes 10, 11, 1M and W1 apply up to a maximum of 126 cm³/r on the sum of P1 and P2. A large T6CC combination therefore cannot be ordered with the first group of codes, however the rest of the string reads.
Speed, pressure and weight
The ratings follow the cartridge group, not the model number, and each section is read against its own group.
| Cartridge group | Minimum speed | Maximum speed | Maximum pressure, intermittent / continuous |
|---|---|---|---|
| B | 600 r/min | 2200 r/min; 1800 r/min on HF-3, HF-4 and HF-5 | 300 / 275 bar; 240 / 210 bar and 175 / 140 bar on the fluids above; 280 / 240 bar at B12 and B15 |
| C | 600 r/min | 2200 r/min; 1800 r/min on the fluids above | 275 / 240 bar; 210 / 175 bar and 175 / 140 bar on the fluids above; 210 / 160 bar and 160 bar at B28 to B31 |
| D | 600 r/min | 2200 r/min; 1800 r/min on the fluids above | 240 / 210 bar; 210 / 175 bar and 175 / 140 bar on the fluids above; 210 / 160 bar and 160 bar at B45 and B50 |
| E | 600 r/min | 2200 r/min; 1800 r/min on the fluids above | 240 / 210 bar; 210 / 175 bar and 175 / 140 bar on the fluids above |
Two figures should be carried into an enquiry. A double pump has no fixed pressure rating of its own — the limit is set by the weaker of its two sections — and the total displacement of the two sections together is what the port form and the suction line have to carry, not the displacement of the larger one alone.

The first two rows are the same pump in opposite rotations: T6DC 020 005 1R00 B1 and T6DC 017 005 1L00 B1 differ in the front stator and in the rotation letter. The heavy-duty version appears in T6DCW 014 010 5R00 B1, where position 2 and the shaft code change together.
The D+D strings show the port form at work: T6DDS 020 020 1R00 A100 and T6DDS 020 020 1R00 A1M0 are the same pump with inch and metric port threads, and T6DDS 024 024 2R00 A100 differs again in the stator code and the shaft.
On the larger pairs, T6EC 042 006 1R00 B1 pairs an E section with a C section, while T6ED 042 014 1R00 B1 and T6ED 042 B24 1R00 B1 pair it with a D section written in the two available styles.
The D+D and E+E combinations
The two combinations that use the same cartridge size in both sections are specified a little differently from the rest, because their mounting faces and ports carry the largest loads in the family.
| Item | T6DD | T6EE |
|---|---|---|
| Mounting flange | SAE C, 6 bolts on the T6DDS version | ISO 3019-2 250-B4HW on T6EE; SAE E, 4 bolts on T6EES |
| Shaft codes | 1, 2, 3 and 4 | 2, keyed G45N on the ISO version |
| Ports | P1 and P2 = 1.1/4 in, S = 4 in | P1 and P2 = 1.1/2 in, S = 4 in |
| Assembly torque, housing and end cover | 190 Nm (140 ft·lbs) | — |
| Weight | 56 kg | 95 kg |
| Stock | None held | Three units held |
Both combinations should be quoted from the nameplate string, and the mounting face stated explicitly: T6EE and T6EES use different faces, and the D+D combination is supplied with a 6-bolt SAE C face in its S version.
What to confirm before ordering
- Which section carries the larger displacement. It goes at the shaft end, so the order of positions 3 and 4 is fixed.
- The total displacement. Port form codes 00, 01, 0M and W0 stop at 46 cm³/r, and 10, 11, 1M and W1 at 126 cm³/r on the sum of the two sections.
- The shaft code against the model. The same digit means different shafts on different models.
- The W, and the shaft code that follows it. The heavy-duty version changes both.
- Seal class and the fluid. Class 1 is limited to 0.7 bar, class 5 to 7 bar.
- Design letter and modification code. Read both from the old nameplate.
- The mounting face. T6EE and T6EES, and T6DD against T6DDS, are different flanges.
- The family. Mobile doubles carry M or P in the model number and the PTO double is T6GCC; neither follows this code.
Ordering
If you are replacing a double pump, send the complete string from the nameplate, including the two positions that are usually left out. Where the model is one of the combinations whose code page is not published, a photograph of the mounting flange and of both stator codes is the practical alternative.
The double pump range lists what we hold, and the T-series overview covers the cartridges and seal kits that go with it. Specific strings can go through the contact page.
