V2010 and V2020 double vane pumps: one code, two sections
A double pump puts two cartridge sections on one shaft inside one housing. One inlet feeds both sections, and each section has its own outlet — so you can drive two independent circuits, or combine the two flows. V2010 pairs a V20-class section at the shaft end with a V10-class section at the cover end; V2020 uses V20-class sections at both ends. Both are ordered with a single combined code, and both are built around the same two platforms described on our V10 and V20 single-pump page.
The short version
- One code covers both sections. The shaft-end section and the cover-end section each have their own ring size and outlet code inside the same string.
- V2010: shaft-end rings 7–9, 11 and 12–13, cover-end rings 1–7. Weight about 13.6 kg.
- V2020: shaft-end rings 7–9, 11 and 12–13, cover-end rings 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 — there is no cover-end ring 12 or 13. Weight about 15.9 kg.
- Pressure depends on the combination: 138–172 bar across the standard builds.
- Mounting codes read the opposite way round. On a double pump, 1 = SAE B (4.00 in) and 6 = SAE A (3.25 in). On a single pump it is the other way round.
- Outlet position is a two-letter code: first letter for outlet 1, second for outlet 2, both measured from the inlet.
- Order by the complete nameplate code — a double-pump code has two sections’ worth of information in it.
How to read a V2010 / V2020 code
The code runs left to right as: seal prefix, pump letter and series, mounting, inlet, shaft-end ring size, shaft-end outlet, cover-end ring size, cover-end outlet, shaft, outlet positions, design number, rotation — thirteen positions in one string. Take F3-V2010-1F13S3S-1CC-12-L:
| Position | Value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Seal prefix | F3 | Special seal; omitted on the standard build |
| Pump letter and series | V2010 | V = vane pump; 2010 = V2010 double pump (V2020 writes 2020) |
| Mounting | 1 | SAE B, 4.00 in pilot (6 = SAE A, 3.25 in) — reversed against single pumps |
| Inlet | F | Four-bolt flange, shared by both sections: 1.50 in on V2010, 2.00 in on V2020 |
| Shaft-end ring size | 13 | V20-class section, 13 USgpm at 1200 r/min and 7 bar |
| Shaft-end outlet | S | 1.062-12 UN-2B |
| Cover-end ring size | 3 | V10-class section on a V2010 (V2020: rings 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11) |
| Cover-end outlet | S | .750-16 on a V2010; 1.062-12 on a V2020 |
| Shaft | 1 | Straight key (11 = spline) |
| Outlet positions | CC | Two letters: outlet 1 then outlet 2, each measured from the inlet |
| Design | 12 | V2010 design number (V2020 uses 30) |
| Rotation | L | Left-hand; omitted for right-hand |
Section combinations and performance
Not every ring size pairs with every other. The published combinations are:
| Pump | Shaft-end ring | Cover-end ring | Pressure | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| V2010 | 7–9, 11, 12–13 | 1–3, 4–5, 6–7 | 138–172 bar | about 13.6 kg |
| V2020 | 7–9, 11, 12–13 | 6, 7–9, 11 (no 12/13) | 138–172 bar | about 15.9 kg |
Each section’s flow and pressure follow the same rules as the single pumps: ring size is a flow class in USgpm at 1200 r/min and 7 bar, and maximum pressure falls as the ring size rises. Because the two sections share one shaft, the shaft load is the sum of both — that is the main reason to check the combination rather than swap in the nearest sizes.
Outlet positions: the two-letter code
Single pumps use one letter (A–D). Double pumps use two, written together: the first letter gives outlet 1 (shaft end), the second gives outlet 2 (cover end), and both are measured relative to the inlet. The second letter follows two different tables depending on the series, so a position code copied from a V2010 does not automatically mean the same thing on a V2020.
Four things that go wrong when ordering
- The mounting code is reversed. Double-pump 1 is SAE B; single-pump 1 is SAE A. Reading a double-pump nameplate with single-pump habits gets the flange wrong.
- Only one section’s rings are quoted. Both sections matter, and the cover end has its own set — V2020 stops at ring 11.
- The position code has two letters. Quoting one letter (or one letter’s worth of meaning) loses the second outlet’s orientation.
- Foot brackets are not in the code. Where a mounting foot is needed, it is a separate kit, not a code position.
Which one do you need?
Start from the two flows the machine needs. If the two circuits are unequal — a large main flow plus a smaller auxiliary one — V2010 is usually the fit. If both circuits need comparable V20-class flow, take V2020. The builds in this family are rated 138–172 bar depending on the combination; if your machine works above that band, send us the working pressure together with the nameplate code and we will confirm what suits it.

Send us the nameplate code
A double-pump code carries two sections, so it is easy to transcribe half of it. Send the complete string from the nameplate and we will confirm the replacement — both ring sizes, both outlets, the position code and the rotation — before you order. All units we ship are new aftermarket replacements, quality checked before dispatch. Contact us with your code.
