VTM42 / VTM42A steering vane pumps
The VTM42(A) is a vane-type mobile pump with integral flow control and relief valves — "flow control and relief eliminate the need for separate valves… a complete power source for steering". Flow classes 1.0 to 6.0 USgpm (3.4 to 19.3 cm³/r) with a maximum pressure of 140 bar (2000 psi). VTM42 uses a threaded shaft with a reservoir or manifold; VTM42A has an SAE A flange and splined shaft (no reservoir/manifold) — the two are different models with different codes. All units are new aftermarket replacements, quality checked before shipping.

Selection notes
The code is VTM - 42(A) - ring - controlled flow - relief setting - filter - reservoir/manifold - rotation - shaft - design. With A in position 3 = VTM42A (splined shaft only); without = VTM42 (threaded shaft only). Ratings assume petroleum oil at 49 °C and 32 cSt at 38 °C.
